Technical Director – New Games

About the role

Voodoo is looking for a Technical Director to lead the creation of its next casual hit. Based in Paris, Istanbul or Lisbon, you will shape the technical foundation of a brand‑new puzzle‑game studio from concept to worldwide launch.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager to structure, recruit and onboard the engineering team.
• Define and build core technical components such as the switcher engine, level editor and live‑ops tools.
• Establish engineering practices, team rituals and collaboration processes.
• Define a long‑term technical strategy that scales with the product and studio vision.
• Collaborate with product leadership on roadmap, rollouts and adoption plans.
• Contribute hands‑on code, rapidly iterating features based on player feedback.
• Monitor product health and guide the team to continuously improve quality.
• Support the General Manager and other leads in studio strategy, operations and people management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Technical Director or Technical Lead on casual mobile games.
• 5 + years professional experience with Unity.
• Proven track record delivering top‑tier mobile casual titles, both new and live.
• Experience building and leading engineering teams.
• Creative, innovative mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to switch between management and hands‑on coding.
• Passion for casual games and an entrepreneurial spirit.
