Tech Lead SAP IS-U – Energy Sector

About the role

We are seeking a Tech Lead to drive SAP IS-U solutions for our energy‑sector clients in Lisbon. The role combines technical leadership, solution design, and close collaboration with business analysts and customers to deliver high‑quality SAP utilities implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the SAP IS‑U development team.
• Design and implement complex SAP IS‑U solutions tailored to client needs.
• Oversee development, testing, and deployment of SAP IS‑U modules while ensuring best‑practice standards.
• Mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and advise on optimal SAP solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Up to 10 years of experience in SAP IS‑U development and solution architecture.
• Strong leadership, communication skills in English, and ability to work in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with the Energy & Utilities market, GDPR compliance, and Portuguese energy regulations.

Required skills

• ABAP programming.
• SAP IS‑U development tools.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and cloud‑based SAP solutions.
• Knowledge of SAP utility modules such as CCS, FICA, DM.
• Proficiency with Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence.
