About the role

Join Honeywell Aerospace as a Systems Engineer I, contributing to the digital engineering transformation of next‑generation aerospace systems. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with model‑based tools and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain SysML models of aerospace system architectures, covering flight mechanics, structures, behavior, functions and interfaces.
• Support requirements elicitation, analysis, decomposition, validation and allocation for safety‑critical hardware, software and test subsystems.
• Establish digital traceability linking mission‑level requirements to architectural elements, analytical models and verification parameters.
• Produce model‑governed artifacts such as engineering documents, interface control documents, diagrams and compliance matrices for formal milestones.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, avionics, structures and software teams to capture technical data and ensure cross‑domain alignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
• 0–2 years of professional or academic experience in aerospace systems engineering.
• Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle (V‑model) and aerospace V&V processes.
• Familiarity with aerospace development standards and safety‑critical constraints.

Required skills

• SysML modeling tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Capella).
• Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS Next, Jama, Jira).
• Knowledge of aerospace standards such as DO‑178C, DO‑254, ARP4754B.
• Basic exposure to MBSE and Requirements‑Based Engineering methodologies.
