Systems Administrator – Infrastructure

About the role

Hexa Consulting is seeking a Systems Administrator – Infrastructure to support a client’s long‑term infrastructure operations. The position is fully remote from Portugal and focuses on managing virtualization, backup, and storage platforms across a multi‑site datacenter environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware and OracleVM.
• Manage backup, recovery and data‑protection solutions.
• Maintain Dell and NetApp storage systems, ensuring performance and availability.
• Configure and support Horizon desktop‑virtualization environments.
• Operate Brocade SAN switches and related connectivity.
• Monitor and optimise servers, virtualization, backup and storage infrastructure.
• Participate in a weekly standby rotation and respond to incidents.
• Document procedures, standards and share knowledge with the infrastructure team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in systems or infrastructure administration.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization, backup/recovery and storage administration.
• Proficiency in Portuguese (C2) and English (B2+).
• Ability to work in a weekly standby rotation.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and operational ownership skills.
