System Engineer – Cloud Migration (English Speaking)

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer who will lead cloud migration projects and manage hybrid infrastructures across Azure and VMware environments. The role combines hands‑on technical work with strategic planning to ensure smooth, secure, and performant migrations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess on‑premises environments using Azure Migrate and define migration strategies (rehost, re‑platform, refactor).
• Plan and execute migrations to Azure, VMware and hybrid clouds.
• Deploy and manage Azure networking components such as NSGs, firewalls, VNETs, and Application Gateways.
• Operate, troubleshoot and optimise Azure VMs, networks and related cloud services.
• Utilise tools like Azure Migrate and VMware HCX to ensure seamless migration workflows.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to minimise downtime and maximise performance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring secure and scalable cloud environments.
• Monitor cloud systems, implement best‑practice performance and reliability measures.
• Stay current with Azure advancements and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive system documentation and continuously improve infrastructure processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud migration methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Hyper‑V, Windows Server, Unix, Active Directory, Horizon or Citrix, and networking concepts.
• Fluent English; additional German or Portuguese is a plus.
