System Administrator – Linux/Windows (Porto)

About the role

We are seeking a System Administrator to join our Porto‑based team at KCS IT. The role involves working within a dedicated Sysadmin group to maintain and optimise both Linux and Windows environments for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate into the Sysadmin team and support day‑to‑day operations.
• Manage Linux and Windows servers, including configuration, updates and troubleshooting.
• Assist with Active Directory, virtualization platforms and cloud services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Linux/Windows system administration.
• Valid EU work permit.
• Fluent written and spoken English or French.

Required skills

• Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Active Directory.
• VMware or Hyper‑V virtualization.
• Shell scripting.
• ITIL framework.
• Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Veritas Cluster (VCS) and Veritas Volume Manager (preferred).
