Supply Chain Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the end‑to‑end supply chain function for a large‑scale international manufacturing plant in Porto. Reporting to the Plant General Manager, you will be responsible for aligning production planning, demand management and S&OP with business objectives while ensuring high service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production planning, demand forecasting and S&OP processes.
• Align manufacturing capacity with customer demand and business forecasts.
• Optimise inventory levels while maintaining strong customer service.
• Oversee procurement activities, supplier performance and material availability.
• Support warehousing, distribution and transportation efficiency.
• Monitor key supply chain KPIs and drive continuous performance improvements.
• Manage, coach and develop the local supply chain team.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, commercial and corporate stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in planning, forecasting, MRP and S&OP.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Hands‑on leadership style with close operational involvement.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Experience in FMCG or fast‑paced production environments is a plus.
