Staff Auditor

About the role

The Staff Auditor is an entry‑level public accounting professional who will support the planning, execution, and documentation of financial audits and other assurance services. Working under the supervision of the Audit Manager and senior team members, you will gain hands‑on experience with professional standards, internal‑control evaluation, financial analysis, and the preparation of high‑quality working papers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and scheduling of audit engagements.
• Execute substantive and controls testing, documenting findings accurately.
• Prepare and maintain clear, well‑supported working papers.
• Communicate discrepancies, risks, and findings to supervising auditors promptly.
• Travel to client sites across Puerto Rico as required.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong analytical ability and keen attention to detail.
• Professional integrity and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and functional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Understanding of financial audit procedures and internal‑control concepts.
• Basic financial analysis techniques.

• Base salary ranging from $33,280 to $41,600 per year ($16‑$20 per hour).
