Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The expert will lead the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services, especially those based on Copernicus data, to address climate, environmental and development challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Earth Observation applications in sectors such as early‑warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water resources and biodiversity.
• Translate Copernicus data and products into actionable services for African institutions and end‑users.
• Support knowledge exchange, capacity building and stakeholder engagement between European and African partners.
• Contribute to proposal preparation, reporting and dissemination of project results.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental services.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing EO solutions using Copernicus data.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese is an asset.
