Software Engineer – Warehouse Management System

About the role

As a Software Engineer you will join DACHSER’s Corporate IT Hub in Porto to develop the next generation of our Warehouse Management System. You will work with modern tools and cloud technologies to create innovative, scalable solutions that support our global logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new or modernised components for the Warehouse Management System using container technologies, databases and cloud services.
• Collaborate in agile Scrum teams to deliver features, maintain code quality and ensure continuous integration.
• Specialise in a technical area or acquire broad knowledge to support colleagues and drive technical excellence.
• Contribute to internal technical communities, share knowledge and propose innovative ideas across the company.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of software development experience with Java and/or Angular (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Hands‑on experience with agile Scrum processes and a solid understanding of software architecture principles (micro‑services, SOLID, DDD).
• Proficiency in English and a collaborative mindset.
