Software Engineer – React & Node.js

About the role

KCS IT is looking for a motivated Software Engineer with strong React and Node.js expertise to join our Lisbon office. You will work on high‑performance, scalable web applications serving clients mainly in the UK and US.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack JavaScript applications using React and Node.js.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable delivery.
• Write automated tests (unit, integration, regression) following a TDD approach.
• Develop and consume RESTful web services with a focus on security and performance.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with international teams and support remote client projects.

Required profile

• Computer Science degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience on similar projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent spoken and written English; eligible to work in the EU.
• Customer‑focused mindset and willingness to work in a dynamic production environment.
