Software Engineer (Python) – Real Ownership Role

About the role

Join PlatformE as a Software Engineer focused on Python, working in a small, high‑impact team that delivers features directly to global luxury brands. You will own the full lifecycle of your code, from design to production, and collaborate closely with senior engineers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain client‑facing platform features end‑to‑end.
• Own deployments, monitoring, incident response and post‑incident fixes.
• Perform technical builds and configurations for enterprise clients on agreed delivery dates.
• Review code and raise the engineering bar together with a senior engineer.
• Work with databases, REST APIs and third‑party integrations across the stack.
• Identify and automate repetitive delivery work to keep the team small and fast.
• Act as a technical voice in client conversations when needed.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and keep technical documentation up to date.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of professional software development experience with production code.
• Strong Python skills and a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Solid experience with REST APIs, SQL and relational databases.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience giving code reviews and owning production issues from reproduction to fix.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability, proactive mindset and clear communication in English.
