Software Engineer – Java Microservices

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Java microservices to join our international product company. You will work on a cloud‑native, enterprise platform that serves the automotive finance, leasing, fleet management and mobility sectors across more than 30 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices following domain‑driven design principles.
• Translate business domain models into robust, cloud‑native architectures.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and automated testing.
• Apply Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) practices to ensure secure code.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional, international teams to deliver high‑performance enterprise solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Experience working in an international, hybrid environment.

Required skills

• Java 17 (Java 21 a plus).
• Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• SQL with PostgreSQL.
• Version control with Git and build tools such as Maven.
• CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Kafka, Angular, Postman and NoSQL databases is a plus.
