Software Engineer II

About the role

Talkdesk is building the next generation of its cloud‑based contact‑center platform using a micro‑service architecture. As a Software Engineer II you will join a high‑performing vertical team that owns the full lifecycle of its services, from design to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs using Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with product owners and other engineering squads to ensure solutions meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous deployment practices.
• Integrate Talkdesk with external systems via APIs, middleware, and custom development while ensuring data integrity and security.
• Participate in peer code reviews, pair programming, and agile ceremonies.
• Help guide the team technically by documenting architecture and mentoring junior members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related engineering field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably on cloud‑native applications.
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills and a solid understanding of service‑oriented and event‑driven architectures.
