Software Engineer II – Hybrid (Aguadilla, PR)

About the role

Collins Aerospace’s Global Engineering Center in Puerto Rico is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Military Avionics organization. The role is hybrid, based in Aguadilla, and focuses on designing, developing, integrating and verifying software that supports navigation, flight planning, guidance and real‑time hazard avoidance for advanced avionics systems.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle – requirements, design, coding, testing and verification.
• Develop and integrate software components for the MFMS‑1000 and ARR‑7000 solutions, including the distributed Transport Segment Services layer.
• Collaborate with system and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration and data exchange across applications.
• Support system integration pipelines and contribute to verification activities in a hands‑on environment.
• Maintain compliance with military avionics standards and the FACE Technical Standard.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship or U.S. Person status (required for program access).
• Current residence in Puerto Rico; relocation is not provided.
• Strong collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering high‑quality engineering solutions.
• Ability to work on‑site three days per week and remotely two days per week as scheduled by the manager.
