Software Engineer - Hardware Integration

About the role

We are a deep‑tech startup focused on personalized medicine, looking for a Software Engineer who can bridge software and hardware. You will design robust device interfaces, manage cloud infrastructure, and uphold strict data security and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with hardware and data‑science teams to automate data collection from medical devices.
• Design, develop, and maintain hardware‑software communication layers (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Build and operate cloud data infrastructure, ensuring reliable server performance.
• Enhance data‑security protocols and guarantee GDPR compliance.
• Support regulatory activities for medical‑device standards such as IEC 62304.

Required profile

• MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., medical devices) is a plus.

Required skills

• Python plus two of the following: Rust, Go, C#.
• Full‑stack development experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and front‑end frameworks like React or Svelte.
• Proficiency with Linux, Docker, and Git version control.
• Knowledge of hardware communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART.
