Software Engineer – Embedded Vision Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Lisbon office and work on embedded vision systems that run on NVIDIA Jetson hardware aboard vessels worldwide. You will be at the heart of a real‑time video processing pipeline, ensuring high performance, reliability, and correctness for safety‑critical marine applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop the C++/Python processing pipeline within strict memory, compute, and latency constraints.
• Profile and optimise the system for real‑time performance, focusing on latency, throughput, and memory usage.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and contribute to unit, integration, and end‑to‑end test coverage.
• Own technical planning and delivery for multi‑sprint initiatives, managing risk, dependencies, and progress.
• Collaborate with hardware, product, and AI teams, providing a system‑oriented view for cross‑functional decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production software development in an agile environment.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with GStreamer and video pipelines.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• System‑oriented problem‑solver comfortable working across domains and tech stacks.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
