Software Engineer (Backend & Distributed Systems)

About the role

Samba, a media intelligence company, is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Engineering & Development teams in Porto. You will bridge high‑level requirements and high‑performance reality, focusing on distributed systems that handle global data scales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core backend and middleware services that are robust and scalable.
• Contribute to software architecture design alongside senior engineers.
• Write highly efficient code for massive data processing and low‑latency operations.
• Instrument, monitor, and log services in production, using signals to debug live issues.
• Participate in code reviews, advocating clean‑code principles and maintainability.
• Build and support B2B integrations with partners worldwide.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong grasp of Object‑Oriented Programming and design patterns.
• Experience or willingness to work with .NET technologies.
