Software Engineer, Backend – Core/API & Process Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design and enhance the core systems that power next‑generation business process automation. The role focuses on event‑driven architectures, API design, and high‑performance backend solutions for enterprise‑scale workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend features within event‑sourced workflow engines and APIs.
• Contribute to technical designs, architecture decisions, and product‑focused development.
• Ensure API reliability, scalability, and backward compatibility.
• Address distributed‑system challenges such as event sourcing, CQRS, concurrency, ordering, and system reliability.
• Optimize data access and processing performance across multiple storage technologies.
• Build observability capabilities through logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production operations and on‑call responsibilities as experience grows.
