Software Engineer – Backend (Autonomous Systems)

About the role

HARVION Systems is looking for a Software Engineer with strong back‑end development expertise to help build the platforms that power autonomous aerial, ground, and maritime vehicles. You will design and implement robust, scalable, real‑time solutions that connect embedded devices, desktop applications, and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs for autonomous vehicle platforms.
• Process and manage real‑time telemetry data streams.
• Design and implement distributed systems and micro‑services architectures.
• Integrate embedded systems, desktop tools, and online platforms.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of critical software components.
• Collaborate closely with robotics, control, and software engineering teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in C/C++ or Python development.
• Strong background in real‑time data processing on Linux systems.
• Familiarity with messaging frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ or MQTT.
• Hands‑on experience with embedded and IoT devices, especially ARM‑based hardware.
• Knowledge of serial communication protocols (UART, CAN, I2C).
