Software Development Engineer – Relocate to The Hague

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who will relocate to The Hague to join GBT Solutions’ cutting‑edge projects. The role combines back‑end development, cloud‑native practices and front‑end implementation within a fast‑growing technology team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver software development support for ICC‑related capability packages.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain server‑side logic using Java and Python.
• Design SQL data schemas and ensure robust database integration.
• Apply Git for version control and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab).
• Implement automated testing and maintain Linux‑based environments.
• Work with container engines such as Podman or Docker.
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive web applications using Angular or React.
• Debug, maintain and modernise legacy applications and migrate components to updated architectures.

Required profile

• Recent hands‑on experience with Java and Python.
• Strong SQL knowledge and data schema design.
• Solid experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins or GitLab).
• Automated testing experience.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Podman or Docker.
• Ability to translate UI/UX designs into responsive web applications.
• Experience debugging and modernising legacy systems.
