Signaling Design Hardware Engineer

About the role

Siemens Mobility is looking for a Signaling Design Hardware Engineer to develop and implement trackside signaling systems for mainline and mass‑transit projects worldwide. You will translate project requirements into detailed hardware designs, create technical specifications, and support testing, commissioning and customer training.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and trace requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design hardware solutions that meet reliability, availability, maintainability and safety criteria while optimizing cost.
• Implement, test and commission complex signaling hardware.
• Provide training and mentorship to system engineers across multiple projects.
• Support installation, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with planning, project management and cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Participate in technical meetings with partners, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify innovation opportunities, process improvements and cost‑reduction measures.
