Senior Software Engineer - Python (Hybrid)

About the role

Join Nitro’s Engineering team as a Senior Python Engineer, working on the Nitro Automate Platform that powers document automation, AI‑driven APIs, and workflow tooling. You will design, build, and ship production‑grade software that integrates REST APIs, AI‑based document processing, and server‑side automation services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Python services for Nitro Automate’s REST APIs and AI‑powered document processing functions.
• Develop and maintain workflow automation components and MCP server integrations.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from specification and architecture through deployment and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality, secure, and performant solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience developing backend systems in Python.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with AI or machine‑learning‑enabled document processing is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and deliver reliable production software.
