Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join an international cloud-native and telecom product project. The role is based in the Porto area and works in a hybrid model, collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure the reliability of products used by millions across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Drive quality across complex software products and distributed systems.
• Design, evolve and maintain test automation frameworks and continuous testing practices.
• Perform API, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and engineering teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates.
• Investigate defects, identify root causes and improve testing processes.
• Participate in technical discussions and shape quality practices across the organisation.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation and automation frameworks.
• Extensive experience in API testing.
• Proven experience working in Agile development environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence quality outcomes.
• Continuous improvement mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
