Senior Product Manager – Digital Banking & Payments

About the role

Popular Bank is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of its digital banking and payment solutions for both consumer and small‑business customers. The role blends hands‑on product ownership with limited people‑management, guiding a small team while being directly accountable for product outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full product lifecycle for digital banking and payment services, from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization.
• Define and maintain a product vision and roadmap aligned with the bank’s digital strategy.
• Translate customer, operational, and regulatory requirements into clear product specifications and user stories.
• Drive enhancements to P2P payments, bill pay, ACH, wires, card services, and emerging payment technologies.
• Use data and analytics to prioritize work, set KPIs, and measure performance.
• Collaborate with Technology, UX, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Data teams to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes to inform product direction.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 + years of product management experience in digital banking, payments, or fintech.
• Proven ability to deliver digital products in regulated financial environments.
• Experience leading or mentoring junior product professionals.
• Strong collaboration skills within matrixed, cross‑functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
