Senior MEP Engineer / MEP Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Senior MEP Engineer / MEP Lead to join the Development & Construction team of Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club in Comporta, Portugal. The role will act as the developer’s representative on all mechanical, electrical and plumbing matters, ensuring high‑quality, compliant and operationally ready solutions for our luxury residential and hospitality projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate MEP designs for quality, constructability, maintainability and compliance.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces with architecture, structural, civil, interior, landscape and infrastructure disciplines.
• Support procurement activities, including tender reviews, technical evaluations and contractor selection.
• Monitor construction progress, quality and contractor performance, and approve submittals, shop drawings and method statements.
• Lead cost control, value engineering, variation assessments and change management.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and handover activities.
• Collaborate with operators, facilities management and stakeholders to ensure operational readiness.
• Prepare regular reports on progress, risks, technical issues and key decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or related engineering discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience delivering complex building projects, preferably in luxury residential, hospitality or mixed‑use environments.
• Proven experience managing consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
