Senior Manager – Project Purchasing

About the role

The Senior Manager Project Purchasing leads all procurement activities for new product introductions, customer quotations, industrialisation programmes and product launches at our Ovar site. You will act as a key business partner to Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Operations and Strategic Procurement, ensuring supply‑chain readiness and cost competitiveness throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier quotations: prepare RFQs, consolidate technical and commercial inputs, validate proposals and submit complete quotation packages on time.
• Analyse cost structures and assess supplier feasibility to support profitability decisions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional inputs (engineering, quality, logistics, finance) to ensure quotations reflect the full project scope.
• Negotiate pricing and conditions, aligning with cost‑target objectives and customer expectations.
• Maintain quotation documentation, ensuring traceability, compliance and consistency.
• Implement sourcing strategies during project execution and monitor critical supply‑chain risks, applying contingency plans as needed.
• Lead procurement activities for NPI and industrialisation projects, ensuring smooth transition from quotation to serial production.
• Establish robust launch processes that guarantee material availability and supplier readiness.

Required profile

• Proven leadership in procurement, preferably within NPI or industrialisation environments.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with deep supply‑chain expertise.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and drive results in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary setting.
