Senior Lifecycle Designer – Email & Retention (Contract)

About the role

UN/COMMON is looking for a Senior Lifecycle Designer to lead email and retention‑focused creative work for a portfolio of ecommerce brands. The contractor will create high‑performing email campaigns, automated flows and other lifecycle assets that drive customer engagement and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce visually compelling email campaigns and automated lifecycle flows aligned with each client’s brand guidelines.
• Develop conversion‑focused creative solutions, including GIFs and lightweight animations, to enhance engagement.
• Collaborate with retention strategists, marketers, copywriters and other creative stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage projects from concept through final delivery while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Provide design feedback during reviews and suggest workflow improvements.
• Support occasional internal marketing or business‑development design needs.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional design experience, preferably in ecommerce, DTC or agency environments.
• Strong visual design foundation with expertise in branding, layout and typography.
• Proven track record designing for email marketing and lifecycle retention programs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto‑layout).
• Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Motion design experience, including GIF creation and familiarity with Adobe After Effects or similar tools.
