Senior IT Support Technician (Remote)

About the role

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, is looking for a Senior IT Support Technician to join its remote team in Portugal. You will provide first‑ and second‑level support, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network services for a global scientific community.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incident tickets and service requests with professional, customer‑focused service.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including hardware provisioning and Active Directory user/group management.
• Manage IT procurement to equip teams while controlling costs.
• Perform basic network diagnostics, troubleshooting, and support security and compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in IT support gained through internships, part‑time work, or training.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Office 365.
• Completed IT training, ongoing computer‑science studies, or equivalent technical knowledge.
