Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to provide independent assurance over the effectiveness of internal controls in Portugal. You will work closely with the Head of Audit for Italy and Southern Europe, supporting the execution of the annual audit plan and ensuring timely remediation of audit findings.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Audit to design and execute Vodafone Portugal’s annual audit plan.
• Conduct end‑to‑end internal audits following Vodafone’s methodology and deliver high‑quality, fact‑based reports.
• Review audit reports for accuracy, relevance and impact, leveraging Data Analytics to add value.
• Monitor remediation of identified control weaknesses and ensure compliance with agreed timelines.
• Communicate findings effectively with process owners and senior management.
• Prepare audit and risk committee papers, brief the Chairman and local management, and facilitate committee meetings.
• Liaise with Group Internal Audit, enterprise risk, legal, and compliance teams to communicate potential risks.
• Provide thought‑leadership on control environment assurance and contribute to continuous improvement of the audit function.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Management or Engineering (or equivalent Master’s degree).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, internal control or compliance.
• Proven experience in business process analysis, risk assessment and efficiency analysis.
