Senior Internal Auditor – General Audit

About the role

As an Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in strengthening the client's ability to create, protect, and sustain value by providing independent, risk‑based assurance and advice to the Executive Board and the Tire organization. You will conduct entity and functional audits across international locations, assess risks and compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and work closely with management and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct entity, process, and functional audits worldwide through interviews, data analysis, and on‑site or remote audit activities.
• Assess compliance with internal standards, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
• Identify risks, process optimisation opportunities, and areas for overall improvement.
• Lead audit teams or participate as an auditor within multidisciplinary audit teams.
• Advise management on the development and improvement of internal processes and structures.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations, and monitor their implementation.
• Participate in fraud investigations when required.
• Engage in project work within General Audit and collaborate with other central functions.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in Internal Audit or operational business.
• Multiple years of experience working with SAP, ideally as a key user for specific SAP modules.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with additional systems such as mySuccess / Employee Central and Financial & Accounting systems is an advantage.
• Strong sense of ownership, proactive attitude, and strong team orientation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with good time‑management, task planning, and prioritisation.
• Business‑fluent English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to undertake international business travel (approximately 30–50% of working time).
