Senior Golang Software Engineer (All Genders)

About the role

Join simplesurance as a Senior Golang Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services that power multiple insurance‑related applications. You will work in a micro‑services environment, focusing on secure API design, gRPC, and system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑performance, concurrent Go code that powers product growth, ensuring efficiency and correctness.
• Provide practical feedback on data models and service boundaries to refine the gRPC ecosystem.
• Transform functional requirements into strictly typed gRPC and REST APIs with consistent contracts.
• Act as a steward of code quality through rigorous code reviews, keeping the codebase idiomatic, testable, and secure.
• Implement application‑layer resilience patterns to guarantee uptime independent of underlying infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in a microservices environment, understanding distributed state and eventual consistency.
• Deep production experience with Go, including runtime nuances, garbage collection, channel patterns, and context management.
• View testing (unit and integration) as an integral part of development and ship readable, robust code.
• Fluent Business English with the ability to explain technical trade‑offs to peers and product stakeholders.
