Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Remote (Portugal)

About the role

Join the Autonomous Procurement team at Transporeon (Trimble) as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer. You will design and build end-to-end features that power a next-generation procurement platform, enabling shippers to source transport capacity efficiently through intelligent, automated solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, scalable backend services and APIs that orchestrate complex procurement workflows (REST, service-to-service, event-driven).
• Architect resilient data models and service designs to handle high-volume transaction processing with sub-second response times.
• Improve reliability, performance and observability through profiling, load testing and fault-tolerance patterns.
• Develop asynchronous task pipelines for automated decision-making and carrier notifications.
• Build and optimise user-facing web experiences using React, ensuring high performance and accessibility.
• Own features from specification through rollout, collaborating with product managers and designers.
• Work autonomously in a globally distributed, async-first team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior full-stack engineer building large-scale, mission-critical applications.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with logistics, transportation or procurement domains is a plus.
