Senior Engineer – Process Optimization (Life Sciences)

About the role

Inteldot is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead process optimization and troubleshooting initiatives within its life‑science operations in Puerto Rico. The role involves applying advanced engineering principles to design, modify, and validate manufacturing systems for medical devices and pharmaceutical products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement process optimization strategies for manufacturing, pilot‑plant, and capital‑project environments.
• Design and execute major system modifications, experiments, and equipment upgrades.
• Analyze operational issues, interpret results, and present technical findings to cross‑functional teams.
• Supervise a small team of engineers, technicians, and associates on both ongoing and project‑based work.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and external engineering firms to produce standard design documentation.
• Prepare departmental or project budgets covering multiple engineering disciplines.

Required profile

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 2 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience.
• Proven experience in the medical‑device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of packaging equipment, equipment design, and validation processes.
• Ability to develop engineering policies and procedures that impact multiple organizational units.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to create technical solutions for complex challenges.
