Senior Electrical/Wiring Designer – High Voltage Substations

About the role

Join a collaborative project team designing high‑voltage substations. You will work alongside engineers and designers to produce detailed wiring and schematic deliverables for 138 kV and higher systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Single Line Relaying & Metering Diagrams, AC & DC Schematic Diagrams, Equipment Interconnection Wiring Diagrams, and Cable Schedules.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
• Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design documents.
• Conduct on‑site walkdowns at client substation facilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years experience creating and reviewing wiring diagrams for high‑voltage substations (138 kV+).
• Associate’s degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, write, speak).
• Strong ability to visualize components in 3D and multitask across projects.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of electrical design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans and blueprints.
