Senior Cyber Security Engineer - Nuclear

About the role

Sargent & Lundy is expanding its Instrumentation & Controls Engineering group to support the digital transformation of nuclear power plants and the development of small modular reactors. We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer with deep knowledge of U.S. nuclear cyber security regulations to protect critical digital assets across our nuclear projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review Critical Digital Asset (CDA) determinations and assessments for technical accuracy.
• Address plant corrective actions, notifications, and configuration verification based on network diagrams and system documentation.
• Support installation of software and hardware on plant digital systems.
• Change device settings to implement cyber security controls.
• Provide technical support to Digital Engineering and Cyber Security supervisors.
• Lead automation and AI‑driven improvements in engineering workflows.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of design engineering experience for process control systems.
• Strong understanding of U.S. nuclear cyber security rules and NEI guidance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; bilingual in Spanish and English.
• PE license preferred but not required.
