Senior Construction Engineering & Inspection Inspector

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a seasoned Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Senior Inspector to lead roadway and bridge construction projects. Based in Forsyth, you will work closely with clients, transportation agencies, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as senior project inspector for major roadway and interchange projects.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to support business development.
• Provide technical recommendations to keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Oversee engineering and inspection personnel to verify quality delivery.
• Perform contract administration tasks such as field measurements and documentation.
• Participate in concept meetings, field plan reviews, CPM schedule reviews, and project close‑out.
• Train and develop construction personnel and CEI team members.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, focusing on highway and bridge construction.
• Three years of managerial or supervisory experience, or equivalent project‑lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
