Senior C++ Developer – Ultra‑Low Latency Trading Platform

About the role

We are seeking a Senior C++ Developer to join our Inetum team and help build an ultra‑low latency algorithmic trading platform. You will work in a hybrid environment from our Lisbon or Porto office, collaborating with globally distributed engineering, business, and support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modules, components, and utilities for a high‑performance trading platform.
• Own the full lifecycle of the platform, including development, CI/CD pipelines, support, and bug fixing.
• Participate in an Agile development process covering analysis, documentation, coding, testing, and code reviews.
• Coordinate work with global teams and collaborate with production support for releases and maintenance.
• Drive innovation in a largely green‑field environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead role.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20), STL, and Boost.
• Deep understanding of design and architecture principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Confident Linux user familiar with development tools such as cmake, gcc, and gdb.
• Experience with electronic trading platforms or other high‑load, real‑time systems.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and migration/refactoring projects.
• Fluent English communication skills.
