Senior Business Analyst – Segment Strategy

About the role

The Senior Business Analyst (Segment Strategy) will support Popular’s Segment Management team in defining and executing growth initiatives for retail customers across key market segments. You will provide structured analysis, insights, and recommendations that guide strategic decisions and drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market, customer and internal data analysis to establish segment baselines, sub‑segmentation and value propositions.
• Develop and evaluate business cases, including opportunity sizing, financial impact, cost‑benefit analysis and implementation considerations.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for senior leaders and cross‑functional teams, translating complex analysis into clear, decision‑focused insights.
• Track performance of segment initiatives against KPIs, identifying risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, CX, Digital, Technology, Risk, Compliance and other units, documenting assumptions, decisions and dependencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business analysis or strategy within a retail or financial services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
