Senior Application Support Engineer – Distributed Cloud

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join our Distributed Cloud team in Lisbon. The role combines deep technical support with a Site Reliability Engineering mindset, focusing on proactive reliability, automation and performance of critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior‑level technical and functional support for complex cloud applications.
• Manage and maintain Linux/Unix operating systems, ensuring high availability, performance and security.
• Lead incident resolution and conduct thorough root‑cause analysis.
• Develop Shell and Python scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Apply DevOps best practices to enhance system reliability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot using the ELK Stack and Grafana.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of monitoring, alerting and logging solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Application Support, DevOps or SRE roles.
• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix environments and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Shell and Python scripting.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles.
• Hands‑on experience with Elasticsearch (ELK Stack) and Grafana.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
