Senior Accountant

About the role

In the context of Renvolt’s carve‑out from Voltalia, the Senior Accountant will ensure accurate financial information for the Portuguese entity, handling accounting entries, month‑end closings and tax compliance while supporting the Finance Manager for Portugal & Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Portuguese GAAP (SNC) and IFRS.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries and intercompany flow validation.
• Maintain general ledger integrity, manage the fixed‑asset register and perform bank reconciliations.
• Process income statements and balance sheets in OneStream, including IFRS homogenisation journals.
• Issue customer invoices, monitor accounts and support tax filings (VAT, CIT, WHT) in line with Portuguese regulations.
• Prepare and file statistical reports (INE, Intrastat) and assist with transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Identify ERP system improvements, act as the IFS reference for Portuguese accounting and contribute to the transition to standalone finance processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics.
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting, corporate finance and tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese tax systems (SNC, AT Portal) and consolidation/reporting tools such as OneStream.
• Experience with ERP finance applications, preferably IFS ERP or Microsoft Dynamics F&O.
