Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. This role handles daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly accounting activities while providing recommendations to senior leadership on accounting principles and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review the general ledger, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and equity statements.
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
• Meet all segment financial reporting deadlines and deliver key performance metrics.
• Utilize SAP S/4HANA modules for financial reporting and data extraction.
• Analyze revenue, expense, cash, and balance‑sheet trends and explain variances to budget.
• Lead process improvements, develop new procedures, and enhance departmental workflow.
• Support the Sr. Accounting Manager with year‑end audit preparation and special projects.
• Collaborate with other finance teams, provide training, and handle personnel issues within the accounting department.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple accounting cycles.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on variance analysis and process efficiency.
• Experience supervising accounting staff and fostering professional development.
• Knowledge of ad‑valorem and income tax concepts to support tax personnel.
