Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the financial operations of Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa in Faro. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures accurate reporting, budget control, and regulatory compliance for the resort.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Perform reconciliations and analyze financial data to support decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with hospitality‑specific tax and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and coordinate tax filings.
• Collaborate with finance team members and other departments to provide financial insights.

Required profile

• Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience in budget management, financial analysis and audit preparation.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency with accounting software.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of compliance and tax regulations in the hospitality sector.
• Relevant certification (CPA, ACCA) and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Prior experience in the hotel or resort industry is an advantage.
