Senior Accountant

About the role

emagine is expanding its Finance Center of Excellence in Lisbon and is looking for a motivated Senior GL Accountant. You will be the primary owner of general ledger accounting and tax compliance for the Portuguese subsidiary while supporting other European entities as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close activities and general accounting tasks.
• Perform cash reconciliation, treasury management, and oversee payment processes.
• Process supplier invoices and conduct balance‑sheet reviews.
• Support statutory, financial and tax audits.
• Contribute to process optimisation, automation projects and strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in an international environment.
• Strong work ethic, detail‑oriented mindset and ability to prioritize in a fast‑changing setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, fluent in English.
• Proactive attitude, willing to share ideas and take initiative.

Required skills

• ERP systems – Business Central experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel, comfortable with large data sets, complex models and data analysis.
• General ledger accounting and tax compliance.
• Cash reconciliation, treasury management and supplier invoice processing.
• Balance‑sheet review and audit support.
