Senior Accountant – General Ledger & Closing

About the role

NetJets is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead core accounting activities, including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closing. The role ensures accurate financial recording in line with US GAAP, local regulations, and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, register and control accruals for G&A, revenue, salaries, and other cost items.
• Execute and classify all general ledger, bank, and journal transactions.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, and other balance‑sheet accounts.
• Compile financial data for statutory reporting to authorities in the UK, USA, Portugal, and other jurisdictions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes by delivering timely, accurate accounting data.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 6‑8 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Fluent English with strong attention to detail.
• Results‑driven team player with strong analytical thinking.

Required skills

• US GAAP knowledge.
• Proficiency with financial software and database systems.
