Security Analyst – Tier 1 SOC (Cyber Defense Center)

About the role

The Cyber Security Defense Center (CDC) is seeking a Tier 1 SOC Analyst to join its Operations Team. You will be the first line of defense, monitoring security alerts, performing initial investigations, and escalating incidents to protect Nokia’s digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, EDR, and cloud security tools.
• Conduct initial investigation and triage of security incidents.
• Document and escalate incidents to Tier 2/3 analysts following defined procedures.
• Operate security platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and SASE solutions.
• Perform basic log analysis to identify suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and actions taken.
• Contribute to SOC process improvements and playbook updates.
• Stay informed on current threats and emerging attack techniques.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center or similar monitoring role.
• Foundational understanding of security principles, attack vectors, and incident response.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret alerts and identify patterns.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting incidents and collaborating with teams.
• Basic knowledge of cloud security concepts and operating system internals (Windows/Linux).
