Scientist 2 – Biology

About the role

We are seeking a Scientist 2 specialized in Biology to design, conduct, and interpret experiments that support development programs and uncover biological pathways. The role provides scientific support for technology and product development within a leading healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed environmental monitoring, laboratory assays, and biomarker identification and development.
• Conduct biological indicator, growth promotion, endotoxin, and bioburden testing, as well as microbial identification.
• Summarize preliminary data, maintain accurate documentation, and assist in writing abstracts and manuscripts.
• Utilize computer software for literature searches and data entry.
• Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
• Prepare standards, reagents, and controls according to established procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Microbiology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with biological agent assays, biomarkers, growth promotion, endotoxin, or bioburden testing.
