Sales Professional - Inside Sales

About the role

We are looking for an Inside Sales Professional to join our team and support families in making at‑need and pre‑need cemetery arrangements. The role combines compassionate customer service with proactive sales activities to generate revenue for the cemetery while guiding families through important decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new families for at‑need and pre‑need arrangements, dedicating 1–2 hours daily to lead generation.
• Obtain referrals from satisfied families and build community and civic relationships.
• Present and explain cemetery services to families, answering inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain activity logs, track productivity metrics, and follow up on all customer requests.
• Collaborate with funeral directors, location managers, and other cemetery staff to deliver seamless service.
• Prepare for appointments, review previous interactions, and ensure families receive ongoing support and satisfaction.
• Earn referrals by establishing trust‑based relationships and educating families on the benefits of pre‑planning.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of college coursework or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance license where required by state law.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office software.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate empathetically.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and up to 12‑hour days as needed.
