Safety Verification Initiative Director

About the role

The Safety Verification Initiative Director will lead a program dedicated to protecting children’s safety and well‑being. Reporting on‑site in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, the director will shape strategy, oversee staff, and ensure high‑quality service delivery for vulnerable youth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall program and staff oversight for the Safety Verification Initiative.
• Support child safety and wellness initiatives across the organization.
• Guide complex or sensitive cases, ensuring appropriate interventions.
• Ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
• Facilitate staff training and maintain program quality standards.
• Coordinate with program leadership, stakeholders, and external partners.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., DSW or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Background in child welfare, behavioral health, social or human services.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience working with children or vulnerable populations (preferred).
• Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred).
