Risk Officer Trainee – Global Risk & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and analytical trainee to join our Global Risk and Reporting Department. This position offers a unique chance to learn the bank’s non‑financial risk framework, focusing on Operational Risk and Climate & Environmental risks, while supporting the Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) process.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Operational Risk framework: identify, register, validate and follow‑up operational risk events in coordination with OR managers.
• Assist in preparing periodic OR reports for management, analysing trends, drivers and mitigation status.
• Contribute to the RCSA annual cycle: risk identification, structuring risk statements, mapping to taxonomies and maintaining the risk inventory.
• Perform consistency checks between inherent risk, control environment and residual risk assessments as part of 2nd Line validation.
• Track and monitor mitigation actions from RCSA and OR events, gather evidence and prepare escalations for overdue items.
• Support the Climate & Environmental risk framework by assisting in assessments, monitoring C&E indicators/KRIs and integrating them into regular reporting.
• Help improve the internal control environment by documenting processes, proposing enhancements and supporting training materials.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to map processes, identify control points and communicate remediation status clearly.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and eager to learn regulatory and internal governance requirements.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel – intermediate level or higher.
• Basic proficiency with data tools such as SQL or Python (a plus).
